The work Membajak (Plowing) by Basoeki Abdullah was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 300,000.00 (€ 35,201.02), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Basoeki Abdullah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak), which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).

Die Arbeit Membajak (Plowing) von Basoeki Abdullah wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 35.201,02) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Basoeki Abdullah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75) versteigert wurde.
