Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Race Horse by Basil Blackshaw. The price achieved of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 88,182.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Basil Blackshaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fall, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 184,358.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Race Horse von Basil Blackshaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 88.182,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Basil Blackshaw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fall beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 184.358,33) versteigert wurde.
