Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Foxhounds by Basil Blackshaw. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,265.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Basil Blackshaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fall in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 184,358.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Foxhounds von Basil Blackshaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.265,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Basil Blackshaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fall im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 184.358,33).
