Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Field Study by Basil Blackshaw was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,045.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Basil Blackshaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fall in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 184,358.33).

Die Arbeit Field Study von Basil Blackshaw wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.045,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Basil Blackshaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fall im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 184.358,33).
