Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings, which included the work Portrait of an ecclesiastic, bust-length, in a cartouche; and Portrait of an ecclesiastic, bust-length, holding his hand to his chest, in a cartouche by Bartolomeo Nazari. It changed hands for a price of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,081.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomeo Nazari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a white embroidered dress and blue, fur-lined cape; and Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length, in a grey doublet and red cloak in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,987.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of an ecclesiastic, bust-length, in a cartouche; and Portrait of an ecclesiastic, bust-length, holding his hand to his chest, in a cartouche von Bartolomeo Nazari zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.081,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Nazari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a white embroidered dress and blue, fur-lined cape; and Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length, in a grey doublet and red cloak im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.987,50).
