A top price for Bartolomeo Nazari - as previously expected
The work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a white embroidered dress and blue, fur-lined cape; and Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length, in a grey doublet and red cloak by Bartolomeo Nazari was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,987.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a white embroidered dress and blue, fur-lined cape; and Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length, in a grey doublet and red cloak is the most expensive artwork by Bartolomeo Nazari that we have observed at auctions so far.
