Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Emperor Ferdinand I (Pauli 91; B., Holl. 61) by Barthel Beham was sold in the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction at Christies in London in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,330.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barthel Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Ludwig X, Duke Of Bavaria in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 376,664.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Emperor Ferdinand I (Pauli 91; B., Holl.
