It achieved a price of EUR 1,032.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barry X Ball achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping Hermaphrodite in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 489,447.69).

Die Arbeit Purity in Iranian Translucent White Onyx. von Barry X Ball kam im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM in Köln zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.032,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barry X Ball erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping Hermaphrodite im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 545.000,00 (€ 489.447,69).
