This artwork by Barry X Ball achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in June 2021. In the From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection auction, the work Envy in Belgian Black Marble sold for EUR 1,032.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barry X Ball achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeping Hermaphrodite in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 489,447.69).
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barry X Ball erzielte im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection wurde die Arbeit Envy in Belgian Black Marble für EUR 1.032,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barry X Ball erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeping Hermaphrodite im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 545.000,00 (€ 489.447,69).
