In June 2021 VAN HAM held the auction From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection, which included the work The akra tapeinosis (...) - Portrait Matthey Barney by Barry X Ball. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 180,600.00 51% above the estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barry X Ball - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sleeping Hermaphrodite, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 545,000.00 (€ 489,447.69).

Im Juni 2021 führte VAN HAM die Auktion From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The akra tapeinosis (...) - Portrait Matthey Barney von Barry X Ball zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 180.600,00 und damit 51% über dem Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Barry X Ball mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sleeping Hermaphrodite beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 545.000,00 (€ 489.447,69) versteigert wurde.
