Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Early Morning Rendez-Vous by Barry Mason was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art auction at Christies in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,394.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barry Mason - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The extreme clipper Leander bowling along in the trade winds, which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,787.29).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.394,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
