Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Twiggy, 1966 by Barry Lategan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,469.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Barry Lategan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2017 the work Twiggy, 1966 was auctioned for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,054.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Twiggy, 1966 von Barry Lategan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.469,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Barry Lategan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2017 die Arbeit Twiggy, 1966 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.054,20) versteigert.
