Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thinker @ Rock Cross by Barry Flanagan was auctioned at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 355,600.00 (€ 408,327.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Barry Flanagan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nijinski Hare in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,451,250.00 (€ 1,684,421.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Thinker @ Rock Cross von Barry Flanagan kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 355.600,00 (€ 408.327,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barry Flanagan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nijinski Hare im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.451.250,00 (€ 1.684.421,98).
