Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Evening Sale, which included the work Acrobats by Barry Flanagan. The price achieved of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 258,028.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Barry Flanagan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nijinski Hare in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,451,250.00 (€ 1,684,421.98).
