Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nino Merluzzo Sitting with a Jug by Wilhelm von Gloeden was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,451.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelm von Gloeden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sicilian Youths, Taormina, C.1901 in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,258.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nino Merluzzo Sitting with a Jug von Wilhelm von Gloeden wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.451,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm von Gloeden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sicilian Youths, Taormina, C.1901 im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.258,92).
