In June 2021 Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Photographie, which included the work Ohne Titel by Wilhelm von Gloeden. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,500.00 25% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelm von Gloeden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sicilian Youths, Taormina, C.1901 in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,258.92).
Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Wilhelm von Gloeden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.500,00 und damit 25% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm von Gloeden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sicilian Youths, Taormina, C.1901 im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.258,92).
