The work "Porträtt av Grace Jones" by Barbro Bäckström was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2020. The auction ended at the price of SEK 50,000.00 (€ 4,781.41), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Barbro Bäckström have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Badare" (Bathing) in May 2012 with an auction result of SEK 400,000.00 (€ 42,251.70).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit "Porträtt av Grace Jones" von Barbro Bäckström wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 50.000,00 (€ 4.781,41) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barbro Bäckström auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Badare" (Bathing) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 400.000,00 (€ 42.251,70).
