Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Not Yet Titled (Flag Edition) by Banks Violette. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,851.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banks Violette achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work burnout (fadeaway), vol.1 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 205,250.00 (€ 259,442.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Not Yet Titled (Flag Edition) von Banks Violette zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.851,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banks Violette erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit burnout (fadeaway), vol.1 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.250,00 (€ 259.442,88).
