Die Arbeit Mountains By The Sea von Balcomb Greene kam im Januar 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.864,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Balcomb Greene auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Balanced Moving im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.003,31).
