Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Balcomb Greene could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living With Art auction, the work Fury changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,300.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Balcomb Greene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Balanced Moving in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,003.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Balcomb Greene konnte im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living With Art wechselte die Arbeit Fury für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.300,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Balcomb Greene erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Balanced Moving im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.003,31).
