Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Balcomb Greene achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2016. In the Living With Art auction, the work Untitled (No. 1) sold for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,370.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Balcomb Greene have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Balanced Moving in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,003.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Balcomb Greene erzielte im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living With Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (No. 1) für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.370,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Balcomb Greene auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Balanced Moving im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.003,31).
