Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rising Sun by Balcomb Greene was sold in the Interiors auction at Christies in New York in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,022.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Balcomb Greene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Balanced Moving in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,003.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rising Sun von Balcomb Greene wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.022,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Balcomb Greene erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Balanced Moving im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.003,31).
