Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terms and Conditions - 16 by Baiju Parthan was sold in the South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,374.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baiju Parthan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 169,000.00 (€ 106,928.19).

Die Arbeit Terms and Conditions - 16 von Baiju Parthan wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.374,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baiju Parthan erzielen.
