Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Baiju Parthan was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,652.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baiju Parthan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 169,000.00 (€ 106,928.19).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Baiju Parthan kam im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.652,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baiju Parthan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 169.000,00 (€ 106.928,19).
