Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Expedition - I (Sourcing Lempika) by Baiju Parthan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,610.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baiju Parthan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 169,000.00 (€ 106,928.19).

Die Arbeit Expedition - I (Sourcing Lempika) von Baiju Parthan kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.610,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baiju Parthan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 169.000,00 (€ 106.928,19).
