This artwork by Baiju Parthan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in May 2006. In the International Modern & Contemporary Art at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai auction, the work Happy Ending--Diptych sold for USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,533.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Baiju Parthan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 169,000.00 (€ 106,928.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Baiju Parthan erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern & Contemporary Art at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai wurde die Arbeit Happy Ending--Diptych für USD 45.600,00 (€ 35.533,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Baiju Parthan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 169.000,00 (€ 106.928,19) versteigert wurde.
