The work Echo (Triptych) by Baiju Parthan was sold in the MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART auction at Christies in New York in March 2006. It achieved a price of USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Baiju Parthan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 169,000.00 (€ 106,928.19).

Die Arbeit Echo (Triptych) von Baiju Parthan wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Für andere Arbeiten von Baiju Parthan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Archeology - Arrival at Lancashire beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 169.000,00 (€ 106.928,19) versteigert wurde.
