Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Image of Imagination by Bahman Jalali. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,672.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bahman Jalali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Image on Imagination, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,823.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Image of Imagination von Bahman Jalali zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.672,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bahman Jalali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Image on Imagination beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.823,61) versteigert wurde.
