Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Two Works from the Image of Imagination series by Bahman Jalali. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,297.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bahman Jalali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Image on Imagination, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,823.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Works from the Image of Imagination series von Bahman Jalali zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.297,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Bahman Jalali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Image on Imagination beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.823,61) versteigert wurde.
