Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Garden scene with ladies by Axel Törneman was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at SEK 20,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 17,000.00 (€ 1,894.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Axel Törneman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Ungdom" (Youth) in October 2012 with an auction result of SEK 600,000.00 (€ 69,779.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Garden scene with ladies von Axel Törneman im Dezember 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit SEK 20.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 17.000,00 (€ 1.894,87) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Axel Törneman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Ungdom" (Youth) im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 600.000,00 (€ 69.779,29).
