Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Great Dane by Arthur Wardle was sold in the British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,197.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Wardle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fairy Tale "All seemed to sleep, the timid hare on form" - Scott. in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 337,875.00 (€ 386,081.08).

Die Arbeit A Great Dane von Arthur Wardle wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.197,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wardle erzielen.
