The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,850.00 (€ 16,634.05), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Wardle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fairy Tale "All seemed to sleep, the timid hare on form" - Scott. in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 337,875.00 (€ 386,081.08).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.850,00 (€ 16.634,05) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wardle erzielen.
