Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Tress could be acquired at Bonhams in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Shadow #26 changed hands for USD 956.25 (€ 897.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Tress have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,693.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Tress konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Shadow #26 für USD 956,25 (€ 897,55) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Tress auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.693,80).
