Despite a disappointment, a good price for Arthur Tress
When the work The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) by Arthur Tress was auctioned at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,693.80). Despite this disappointing result, The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) is the most expensive artwork by Arthur Tress that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) von Arthur Tress im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.693,80) den Besitzer.
