Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Girl Catching Goldfish, Chateau Breteuil, France by Arthur Tress. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,540.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Tress - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio), which sold at auction in November this year for USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,693.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl Catching Goldfish, Chateau Breteuil, France von Arthur Tress zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.540,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Tress mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.693,80) versteigert wurde.
