Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Hacker could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work The knitting lesson changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,400.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Hacker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musicienne du Silence in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Hacker konnte im Juli 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit The knitting lesson für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.400,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hacker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musicienne du Silence im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 77.675,00 (€ 111.623,20).
