Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Punting on the Thames by Arthur Hacker was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,547.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Arthur Hacker have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2003 the work Musicienne du Silence was auctioned for GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).
