Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Deck Of The S.S. Veronese by Arthur Hacker was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,664.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Hacker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musicienne du Silence in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).

Die Arbeit The Deck Of The S.S. Veronese von Arthur Hacker kam im März 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.664,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hacker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musicienne du Silence im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 77.675,00 (€ 111.623,20).
