Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Imelda Wendy Whitworth by Arthur Hacker was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,604.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Hacker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Musicienne du Silence in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Imelda Wendy Whitworth von Arthur Hacker wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.604,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Hacker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Musicienne du Silence im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 77.675,00 (€ 111.623,20).
