A top price for Arpita Singh
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak, which included the work Woman Plucking Flowers by Arpita Singh. The »bidding war« ended at USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43), 37% above the upper estimate. With this result, Woman Plucking Flowers is even the most expensive work of art by Arpita Singh that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers von Arpita Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
