Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Couple) by Arpita Singh. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,249.44), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arpita Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Plucking Flowers in March last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Couple) von Arpita Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.249,44) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arpita Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43).
