Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Women); The Hunter by Arpita Singh. The price achieved of USD 15,625.00 (€ 13,444.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arpita Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Plucking Flowers in March last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Women); The Hunter von Arpita Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.625,00 (€ 13.444,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arpita Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43).
