Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Read Signs Carefully by Arpita Singh. It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,233.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arpita Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Plucking Flowers in March last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Read Signs Carefully von Arpita Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.233,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arpita Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43).
