Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Men Sitting, Men Standing by Arpita Singh was auctioned at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of INR 18,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for INR 18,750,000.00 (€ 236,796.79). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arpita Singh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman Plucking Flowers, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Men Sitting, Men Standing von Arpita Singh kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Mumbai zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von INR 18.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für INR 18.750.000,00 (€ 236.796,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Arpita Singh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43) versteigert wurde.
