Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Don'T Cross Central Park At Night by Arpita Singh was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 66,251.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arpita Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Plucking Flowers in March last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).

Die Arbeit Don'T Cross Central Park At Night von Arpita Singh wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 58.750,00 (€ 66.251,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arpita Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Plucking Flowers im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43).
