The work Abstraction by Arnold Aaron Friedman was sold in the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in May 2005. The price achieved of USD 43,200.00 (€ 34,982.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Abstraction is the most expensive artwork by Arnold Aaron Friedman that we have observed at auctions so far.
