Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Boat Basin by Arnold Aaron Friedman. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,190.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arnold Aaron Friedman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstraction, which sold at auction in May 2005 for USD 43,200.00 (€ 34,982.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boat Basin von Arnold Aaron Friedman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.190,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arnold Aaron Friedman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstraction beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für USD 43.200,00 (€ 34.982,59) versteigert wurde.
