Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paysage En Hiver by Arnold Lakhovsky was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,340.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arnold Lakhovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Vasilievsky Island with the Church of the Annunciation in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 110,880.00 (€ 123,862.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paysage En Hiver von Arnold Lakhovsky im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.340,95) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arnold Lakhovsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Vasilievsky Island with the Church of the Annunciation im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.880,00 (€ 123.862,84).
