Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bassin De L'Arsenal by Arnold Lakhovsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,092.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arnold Lakhovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Vasilievsky Island with the Church of the Annunciation in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 110,880.00 (€ 123,862.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bassin De L'Arsenal von Arnold Lakhovsky im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.092,32) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arnold Lakhovsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Vasilievsky Island with the Church of the Annunciation im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.880,00 (€ 123.862,84).
