Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Colonna by Arnaldo Pomodoro was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 152,400.00 (€ 139,713.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Arnaldo Pomodoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Giroscopio IV in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 674,500.00 (€ 943,457.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Colonna von Arnaldo Pomodoro wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 152.400,00 (€ 139.713,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnaldo Pomodoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Giroscopio IV im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 674.500,00 (€ 943.457,03).
